ABOUT US

Who we are and what we do...

We are here to make a difference.

What is Future Hope?

Future Hope is a contracted Supervised Independent Living program located in Decatur, Texas. Future Hope is an extension of Addy’s Hope Adoption Agency. Addy’s Hope Adoption Agency is a private, non-profit organization that provides child placement services for abused and neglected children through an adoption services contract with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Addy’s Hope also offers adoption services for biological families desiring to make an adoption plan for their child(ren).

Our work providing adoptive homes for children from the Department of Family and Protective Services pushed supported the decision to create Future Hope. Future Hope offers a multi-services approach in addressing the needs of young men ages 18-22 who have aged out of the foster care system.

HOW?

Future Hope is designed to assist young men by providing them with a furnished studio apartment, equipping them with life skills, supporting them through relationships, and linking them to education, mentors, & community partners.

Mission:

Future Hope serves young men aged 18 – 22 transitioning to success in life from the foster care system by; providing a furnished studio apartment, equipping them with life skills, supporting through relationships and linking to educating, mentors and community partners.

VISION:

To provide every young man aging out of foster care the support, skills and opportunities to reach their fullest potential

Why: The Time is NOW!

There is a dire need for intentional and effective support for youth aging out of foster. Young men that “age out” often leave the foster care system without a support system or the preparation needed to lead successful independent lives. Success will look different for each young man. However, we desire to support them in acquiring the knowledge, skills, abilities needed to transition to caring, connected and responsible members of society.
